Hello, Everyone!
As the sweltering heat and harsh heatwave scald many parts of our country; our skin is the first to face heatwave's wrath in the form of heat rash, damaged skin, clogged pores, pigmentation, and many more.
According to the skin expert, it is best to do sponging through solid ice or chilled water as a skincare element on a daily.

According to skin expert Dr. Bhawuk Dhir-dermetalogist consultant at PSRI hospital, by sponging through ice or chilled water the pores get unclogged which had been clogged through sweat, and piled dirt which helps mitigate symptoms of skin damage i.e. heat rash and prickly heat which can be understood as hindrance of sweat ducts by sweltering heat and humidity.
Pore blockage is ubiquitous in the heatwave as they get clogged by heavy sweating and dirt that lead to skin breakouts.
As per dermatologist Amit Bangia, it is a wise skincare measure to avoid using bulky makeup and rather opt for applying a sunscreen to guard the skin against the Sun's UV rays and also apply a gel-based moisturizer which easily gets absorbed by the skin owing to its lightweight property and hydrates the skin. In addition to this, the gel-based moisturizer is best for sensitive skin and renders a cooling effect on the skin.
Gentle exfoliation is also good but it is advisable to not over it. A frequency of exfoliating skin twice a week is okay but not more than that. Over-exfoliation might rob of natural moisture from the skin. Mr.Bangia emphasized the significance of the outer shield amid our skin and the Sun's harsh rays. He stressed using UV-400 sunglasses and wide-brim hats to safeguard our face and eyes.
For DIY{DO IT YOURSELF} fanatics here is a natural cooling and soothing ingredients that can be infused in the face packs.
As per the beauty expert Richa Agarwal, ingredients such as cucumber, aloe vera, chamomile, oatmeal, lavender, calendula, and curd are natural cooling and soothing agents for our skin.
She suggested that:-
->For people who are always busy, a vetiver or rosewater-infused spray or a mist should be generously applied quite often.
->Also, cold curd is best for skin repair against sunburns and suntan. Infusing oatmeal or calamine powder in cold curd will render potential benefits against sunburn and skin tan.
->Dr. Richa also suggested that several natural, chemical-free, DIY face packs made in the comfort of our home could considerably minimize and cure skin inflammation caused by the Sun's heatwave.
Here is a list of some amazing DIY natural and chemical-free face packs suggested by beauty expert Richa Agarwal.
Blend two tbsp of chamomile water with one tbsp of oatmeal powder and apply this intermix on the clean skin. Then rinse it with cold water. Post rise apply a light moisturizer.
2. Here is yet another amazing DIY face pack. Simply add half tbsp of honey, and half tbsp of rose extract in two tbsp of curd. Stir them to form a bland paste and apply on the skin for about 7 to 12 minutes.
3. Intermix lavender flower powder {one can use lavender water as well}, aloe vera juice, and oatmeal or calamine powder to make a simple paste and put that on for a minimum of 10 minutes.
Conclusively, we can say that adhering to skin experts' recommendations and applying natural, chemical-free DIY face packs can considerably help alleviate sunburn and suntan.
Thank You.
