Historic Win For Novak Djokovic Over Francisco Cerundolo In French Open 2024-A 370th Victory In Grand Slam Match

Novak Djokovic won yesterday's {Monday, 3rd June 2024} French Open match against Francisco Cerundolo despite his injured right knee in five sets stretched for about 41/2 hours second time successively escalating over 23rd ranked Argentine tennis player Francisco Cerundolo by 6-1,5-7,3-6,7-5,6-3 in the 4th round held at Roland Garros which marked Djokovic 370th victory in a Glam Slam match.

However; the Grand Slam Champion seemed skeptical about his upcoming play in the quarterfinals on Wednesday 5th of June 2024.
According to Djokovic, his knee injury had been a major concern for him for weeks. A medical timeout was taken by him in the second set at 2-1, while a trainer attended to him, and medicine was also given to curb his pain post the third set.
Djokovic's gameplay upsurged in due course, leading him to win five sets spanning 41/2 hours.
According to Djokovic, the integrated time duration did not bother him, however, his knee did.
Interestingly, he is about to play with 7th ranked Casper Ruud tomorrow on Wednesday i.e. 5th of June 2024. Casper edged over 12th-ranked Taylor Fritz and is poised towards his fourth Grand Slam quarter-finals with a 7-6 ( 6), 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 challenging win in four sets on 3rd of June 2024, Monday.
Djokovic feat against Cerundolo made his number of match wins to be ahead of Roger Federer at the coveted tournaments and also, the man holding the highest-59th Grand Slam quarter-finals at Ronald Garros in his tennis career. However, the 59th quarter-final mark was quite challenging for him.
Djokovic swept from 2 sets to one and was down a break in the fourth set which took him to two sets from losing the match. According to him, he was on the verge of losing the game by about 3 or 4 points. But despite all odds and challenges, Djokovic had demonstrated his best of reigning tennis which has been his forte for years, and clinched 24 major trophies - a sum featuring 3 at the French Open.

On Sunday, 2nd Of June 2024 Novak Djokovic continued his reign towards the lead in the World rankings and saved the No.1 ranking mark in his victory against Italian player Lorenzo Musetti in a 7-5, 6-7 (6),2-6, 6-3, 6-0, five sets resurgence feat for over 41/2 hours. This was Djokovic's 379 win which marked a tie with the Roger Federer wins in the Grand Slam history. Djokovic seemed vulnerable early against the 22-yr Mussetti. The Italian raced to a lead thanks to his power-packed one-handed backhand and net play. However, Djokovic known for his resilience, dug deep and found another gear in the fourth set. Djokovic then turned the tide becoming more aggressive on returns and staying closer to the baseline in the rallies. This tactic proved decisive as he dominated the final sets to seal the victory. This win kept Djokovic in a hunt for a record-extending 25th Grand Slam title and his fourth French Open Championship.
Conclusively, we can say that Djokovic won against all odds and his dominating victory exemplified unprecedented hard work and unwavering confidence and positivity. Now, all eyes are on the upcoming match against Casper Ruud on 5th June 2024, Wednesday.
